{"id":58609,"date":"2023-06-22T09:54:52","date_gmt":"2023-06-22T16:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=58609"},"modified":"2023-06-22T09:54:52","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T16:54:52","slug":"the-geospace-environment-modeling-gem-summer-workshop-was-held-in-san-diego","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=58609","title":{"rendered":"The Geospace Environment Modeling (GEM) summer workshop was held in San Diego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>San Diego, CA (June 21, 2023)<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; The Geospace Environment Modeling (GEM) summer workshop was held on June 11 \u2013 16, 2023 in San Diego at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside hotel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GEM workshop is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to coordinate research on geospace research, including the Earth\u2019s ionized space environment and the impact of the solar activities to the Earth\u2019s space system.\u00a0 The purpose of the GEM program is to support basic research into the dynamical and structural properties of geospace, leading to the construction of a global geospace model with predictive capability.
