The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (ACPD) will hold a public meeting in-person with online access from\u00a012:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, focusing on\u00a0the integration of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) principles into U.S. government public diplomacy programming abroad. \u00a0A panel of experts will base their discussion on an ACPD special report titled,\u00a0\u201cPublic Diplomacy and DEIA Promotion: Telling America\u2019s Story to the World<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This meeting is open to the public, including the media and members and staff of governmental and non-governmental organizations.\u00a0\u00a0The event will take place at the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy, University of Southern California, 1771 N St. NW, Washington, D.C.\u00a0 20036. \u00a0Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.\u00a0\u00a0Please use\u00a0this link to\u00a0register<\/a>\u00a0to attend the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Congress created the bipartisan ACPD in 1948 to appraise U.S. government activities intended to understand, inform, and influence foreign publics. \u00a0The Commission conducts research that provides honest assessments of public diplomacy efforts, and disseminates findings through reports, white papers, and other publications. \u00a0It also holds public symposia that generate informed discussions on public diplomacy issues. \u00a0The Commission reports to the President, Secretary of State, and Congress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
