Costa Mesa<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Casting has been announced for the Costa Mesa engagement of\u00a0Disney\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>The Lion King<\/strong><\/em>. Costa Mesa\u2019s most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Segerstrom Center for the Arts stage from Thursday, February 1 to Sunday, February 25. The press opening night is Thursday, February 1 at 7:30 PM.<\/p>\n

The production features\u00a0Peter Hargrave<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cScar,\u201d\u00a0Gerald Ramsey<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cMufasa,\u201d\u00a0Mukelisiwe Goba<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cRafiki,\u201d\u00a0Nick Cordileone<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cTimon,\u201d\u00a0Nick LaMedica<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cZazu,\u201d\u00a0John E. Brady<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cPumbaa,\u201d\u00a0Darian Sanders<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cSimba,\u201d\u00a0Khalifa White<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cNala,\u201d\u00a0Forest VanDyke<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cBanzai,\u201d\u00a0Martina Sykes<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cShenzi\u201d and\u00a0Robbie Swift<\/strong>\u00a0as \u201cEd.\u201d<\/p>\n

The role of \u201cYoung Simba\u201d is alternated between\u00a0Mason Lawson\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Julian Villela<\/strong>\u00a0and the role of \u201cYoung Nala\u201d is alternated between\u00a0Jaxyn Damasco<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Aniya Simone.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Costa Mesa,\u00a0The Lion King<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>will play Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM. There will also be a special 2:00 PM matinee performance on Thursday, February 1. Premium Ticket Packages, which include a prime seat location, a souvenir program and a cinch bag, are also available. Tickets are available at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts Box Office, by calling (714) 556-2787 Monday-Friday 10 AM to 5 PM, or via the Internet at SCFTA.org.
