SACRAMENTO<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0Today, Governor Gavin Newsom\u2019s Administration launched\u00a0Build.ca.gov<\/a>\u00a0to highlight once-in-a-generation investments in California infrastructure that will benefit communities around the state. With $41 billion already at work thanks to historic state funding and unprecedented help from the Biden-Harris Administration, the website illustrates how transformative these investments are for California.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the new website outlines how state and federal infrastructure investments \u2013 $180 billion expected over the next ten years \u2013 are tackling some of California\u2019s toughest challenges, including climate change, equity and jobs.<\/p>\n

Build.ca.gov<\/a>\u00a0is tracking where money is going while showcasing individual projects and what they mean for the communities they\u2019re in. We’re especially focused on making life better in areas that are disadvantaged, underserved, or disproportionately burdened by\u00a0pollution.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Build.ca.gov<\/a>\u00a0is the latest development in the Governor\u2019s efforts to build more, faster \u2013 for all. He\u00a0signed legislation<\/a>\u00a0last year to accelerate critical infrastructure projects across California that will help build a 100% clean electric grid, strengthen the state\u2019s water resiliency and boost water supply, and modernize our transportation system.<\/p>\n

Governor Newsom signed an\u00a0executive order<\/a>\u00a0last May that established the Infrastructure Strike Team to implement an all-of-government strategy to fast-track infrastructure projects and remove barriers to project development.<\/p>\n

Together, the legislation and executive order are designed to take advantage of the unprecedented infrastructure funding available from the Biden-Harris Administration.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
