Residents to Get Latest on Tax Savings, Prop. 19, Death of Property Owner<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOS ANGELES, CA –\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang is set to host the next\u00a0in-person\u00a0Homeowners\u2019 Resource Fair in Santa Clarita where residents will get the latest information on vital Assessor’s Office and County services such as property tax savings, Proposition 19 and what to do after a natural disaster, among numerous other resources.<\/p>\n

The fair, free and open to the public, is designed to connect homeowners with various services available to them, including property tax savings available after a natural disaster, known as a Misfortune and Calamity claim, or what to do in the event of the death of a property owner\u00a0 \u2013 to name just a couple of the issues to be covered. The Fair is scheduled for January 20 at the Canyon Country Community Center.\u00a0Details are below.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger is scheduled to address the crowd along with other officials from County Departments including the Treasurer and Tax Collector, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Consumer and Business Affairs, to name just a few. They will be on hand as well as private businesses and local organizations including the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese\u00a0in-person Resource Fairs are attracting hundreds of visitors eager to learn about the vital County services available to them and we are anticipating a good-sized crowd,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Assessor Jeff Prang said.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cThey are growing in popularity as we hold them throughout the year in various locations in the County,\u00a0so you might want to register ahead of time.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The previous in-person Assessor\u2019s Homeowners\u2019 Resource Fairs\u00a0attracted\u00a0hundreds of people from the\u00a0community and throughout the County along with dozens of elected officials.<\/p>\n
