On May 18 and 19, 2024, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) in Exposition Park will host its\u00a038th annual Bug Fair<\/a>, a two-day festival celebrating insects both local and exotic, including the jungle nymph walking stick, this year\u2019s featured insect, which is being highlighted at NHM\u2019s most popular annual event.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Visitors will experience up-close encounters with crawly creatures; meet real scientists who will share their knowledge of insects and their benefits to the environment; interact with giant bee puppets; watch an insect-focused cooking demonstration;\u00a0and have the opportunity to get hands-on and crafty with activities throughout the weekend. In addition, visitors can explore the Museum\u2019s diorama halls, which will be filled with exhibitors and vendors offering just about everything from live exotic insect collections to unique and cool bug-related products.<\/div>\n

Bug Fair participants can sit down to rest in the 2nd Floor Mammal Hall to view a free screening of the National Geographic series\u00a0A Real Bug\u2019s Life<\/em>, an incredible adventure into different bug worlds around the globe, inspired by the World of Disney and Pixar’s\u00a0A Bug’s Life<\/em>.<\/div>\n
