Launching June 1 in Partnership with the Los Angeles Public Library\u00a0<\/em><\/h2>\n

Los Angeles, CA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 LA County Library, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Public Library and 16 other library systems, announces the launch of One Book, One County, a community reading program running from June 1 \u2013 July 27, 2024. The program encourages all 9.8 million residents in Los Angeles County to read and discuss the same book, fostering community connection and education. This year\u2019s selected book is\u00a0L.A. Weather<\/em>\u00a0by Mar\u00eda Amparo Escand\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

“One Book, One County is a testament to the power that books have to unite communities. By reading and discussing\u00a0L.A. Weather<\/em>\u00a0together, we hope to foster a sense of shared experience and understanding across our diverse county,” said Skye Patrick, LA County Library Director. \u201cWe are proud to partner with the Los Angeles Public Library in this unique initiative that connects communities through the joy of reading.\u201d<\/p>\n
