Nutritious Meals for Kids & Teens at 20 Libraries This Summer, Starting June 17
\n<\/em><\/h3>\n

Los Angeles County, CA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 LA County Library\u2019s annual\u00a0Lunch at the Library<\/a>\u00a0program returns, providing free, nutritious meals to kids and teens 18 and under during the summer months. Since 2015, LA County Library has helped keep children nourished while away from school, ensuring they return in the fall energized and ready to learn. There are no restrictions on family income. Free meals are for kids and teens only and must be eaten at the Library.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis marks the tenth consecutive year we have offered free meals through our Lunch at the Library program,\u201d said LA County Library Director, Skye Patrick. \u201cWe know families depend on us to provide nutritious food for their children when they are away from school, and we are excited to once again provide this essential service to our neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Program Schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From June 17 \u2013 August 9, twenty libraries will be offering lunch on a first come, first served basis from 12 \u2013 1 pm, either Monday \u2013 Friday or Tuesday \u2013 Friday, depending on the location:<\/p>\n

East Los Angeles Library<\/p>\n

Lake Los Angeles Library<\/p>\n

Quartz Hill Library<\/p>\n

Rowland Heights Library<\/p>\n

South Whittier Library<\/p>\n

Tuesday \u2013 Friday, 12 \u2013 1 pm*<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carson Library<\/p>\n

Clifton M. Brakensiek Library<\/p>\n

Compton Library<\/p>\n

El Monte Library<\/p>\n

Gardena Mayme Dear Library<\/p>\n

Huntington Park Library<\/p>\n

La Puente Library**<\/p>\n

Lancaster Library<\/p>\n

Lawndale Library<\/p>\n

Leland R. Weaver Library<\/p>\n

Montebello Library<\/p>\n

Norwalk Library***<\/p>\n

San Fernando Library<\/p>\n

San Gabriel Library<\/p>\n

Temple City Library<\/p>\n

Schedule exceptions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

* Lunch will not be available on Wednesday, June 19 or Thursday, July 4 as all LA County Library Locations are closed for Juneteenth and Independence Day holidays.<\/p>\n

** La Puente Library\u2019s Lunch at the Library service will end on Friday, August 2.<\/p>\n

*** Norwalk Library will not offer lunch on Tuesday, July 2 due to a city event.<\/p>\n
