SACRAMENTO, CA July 19, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Bringing California\u2019s job expansion to its 50th month, Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the state created 22,500 jobs in June 2024.<\/p>\n

In June, California created 22,500 jobs, bringing the total number of jobs created since April 2020 to 3,122,500. The state\u2019s unemployment rate held steady at 5.2 percent last month. California created 107,100 jobs in the first six months of 2024, which is more than double the 38,400 jobs the state created during the same time period last year. Seven of the state\u2019s eleven industry sectors gained jobs last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cCalifornia continues to lead the nation\u2019s economy and create good jobs throughout the state. Just this year, the state created over 107,000 jobs \u2013 more than doubling what we accomplished in the same time period last year.\u201d<\/h4>\n
