Thalberg Memorial Award to producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. \u00a0The event will take place on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJennifer is an exemplary producer, and we are delighted to welcome her back to the Governors Awards for a sixth time,\u201d said Yang. \u00a0\u201cHer expertise is unmatched, and we\u2019re looking forward to a joyous event paying tribute to the achievements of Richard Curtis, Quincy Jones, Juliet Taylor, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to produce this special event for the Academy for another year,\u201d said Fox. \u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s truly a highlight to honor the careers of such talented individuals and help kick off Oscar season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox has produced or executive produced some of the most iconic films of the last 20 years, including Tony Gilroy\u2019s directorial debut, \u201cMichael Clayton,\u201d which earned seven Oscar nominations including Best Picture. \u00a0She began her film industry career in development and production at Universal Pictures, where she worked on several films, including \u201cErin Brockovich.\u201d \u00a0Fox spent the next six years producing with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney\u2019s production company, Section Eight, where she worked on such acclaimed titles as \u201cSyriana,\u201d \u201cGood Night, and Good Luck.,\u201d \u201cA Scanner Darkly\u201d and \u201cThe Informant!.\u201d \u00a0Her other film credits include \u201cDuplicity,\u201d \u201cThe Bourne Legacy,\u201d \u201cWe Need to Talk about Kevin,\u201d \u201cNightcrawler,\u201d \u201cRoman J. Israel, Esq.,\u201d \u201cVelvet Buzzsaw,\u201d \u201cThe Report,\u201d \u201cThe Last Duel\u201d and \u201cMagazine Dreams.\u201d \u00a0She is currently working on her next film, \u201cThe Pack.\u201d \u00a0Fox also produced the Academy\u2019s 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th Governors Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The Honorary Award, an Oscar statuette, is given \u201cto honor extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences in any discipline, or for outstanding service to the Academy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, also an Oscar statuette, is given \u201cto an individual in the motion picture arts and sciences whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry by promoting human welfare and contributing to rectifying inequities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Irving G.
