Plus an Instrument Drive for Affected Youth Orchestra Students<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n

Pasadena, CA \u2013\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Music Director Brett Mitchell<\/strong>\u00a0and the Pasadena Symphony<\/strong>\u00a0present\u00a0Mozart \u201cJupiter\u201d Symphony\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Saturday, January 25, 2025\u00a0<\/strong>with performances at\u00a02:00pm\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a08:00pm\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0Ambassador Auditorium<\/strong>. The jubilance\u00a0of Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony provides the perfect uplifting voice for\u00a0our community in light of the devastating wildfires. The Pasadena Symphony believes in the restorative power of music, and the orchestra\u2019s affected musicians are looking forward to performing for their community so that we can all begin to heal through music.\u00a0Tickets to both concerts will be offered<\/strong>\u00a0free of charge to first responders and anyone who has been displaced, evacuated or experienced loss from the wildfires.\u00a0<\/strong>Visit\u00a0Pasadenasymphony-pops.org<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0sign up here for free tickets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also on the program, \u201cone of the most admired pianists of his generation\u201d (New York Times)<\/em>,\u00a0Inon Barnatan\u00a0<\/strong>will perform groundbreaking composer\u00a0Florence Price\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>soul-stirring\u00a0Concerto for Piano in One Movement<\/strong>. 2024 GRAMMY-winning composer\u00a0Jessie Montgomery\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0vibrant intergalactic piece\u00a0Starburst\u00a0<\/strong>will open the program.<\/p>\n

The Pasadena Symphony will be holding\u00a0an instrument drive for students in the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestras who have lost their instruments in the fires<\/strong>\u00a0and to help replenish what was lost from Pasadena Unified School District’s instrument library. The drive will take place during the concerts\u00a0at Ambassador Auditorium on January 25 from 12-4pm and 6-10pm<\/strong>.\u00a0Instruments will also be accepted during Pasadena Neighbor Day at Wild Parrot Brewing Co. on Sunday, January 19 from 12-8pm.<\/strong>\u00a0Gently used orchestra instruments will be accepted, but please do not bring instruments in need of major repair.
