More than\u00a0140 Chinese business executives and trade officials\u00a0are coming to Los Angeles to explore business opportunities at\u00a0the 2018 California-China Business Summit which will be held on\u00a0May 3rd<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Industries represented by the delegation include clean-tech, e-commerce, energy, manufacturing, IT, food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, apparel,\u00a0etc.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s\u00a0Summit,\u00a0the third of its kind, is aimed at\u00a0promoting\u00a0California’s trade and investment cooperation with Chinese provinces under the framework of a MOU signed by California Governor Jerry Brown and his Chinese counterparts\u00a0during\u00a0his\u00a0trade mission to Beijing\u00a0in 2013.\u00a0\u00a0Governor Brown\u00a0personally participated in the previous two summits which attracted a total of over 800 business participants.<\/p>\n

The Summit\u00a0will be\u00a0co-organized by the Milken Institute, CHINAWEEK and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, and\u00a0supported\u00a0by the California Governor\u2019s Office of Business and Economic Development\u00a0(GO-Biz), the Los Angeles Regional Export Council, Bay Area Council and Los\u00a0Angeles\u00a0Times.\u00a0\u00a0Governor Brown\u00a0has confirmed his attendance this time and\u00a0will\u00a0address\u00a0the\u00a0luncheon plenary session.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0full-day\u00a0event will\u00a0include plenary sessions\u00a0on trade and investment, breakout sessions on clean-tech, advanced manufacturing, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence,\u00a0as well as one-on-one\u00a0match-making\u00a0opportunities.\u00a0 It\u00a0is designed to help\u00a0companies understand\u00a0the\u00a0latest information\u00a0on opportunities and challenges in\u00a0the dynamic\u00a0trade relationship\u00a0and\u00a0build practical strategies and partnership for \u00a0shared success between\u00a0Chinese and\u00a0California businesses.<\/p>\n

Clean-tech companies\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0Chinese\u00a0delegation, like Beijing Jiarui Environmental Protection\u00a0and\u00a0Shouhang\u00a0Resources Saving,\u00a0are looking\u00a0for\u00a0Californian partners\u00a0in technical and market\u00a0cooperation;\u00a0\u00a0Electric car manufacturer\u00a0Byton and\u00a0industrial equipment manufacturer\u00a0Shanghai Electric would like to share their experiences in the field of advanced manufacturing;\u00a0\u00a0Cross-border e-commerce platforms and service providers like YMT Global and Bei Hai International\u00a0couldhelp local exporters and brand holders to sell\u00a0their\u00a0products\u00a0directly\u00a0to millions of Chinese customers.<\/p>\n
