Yolanda Perez's daughter, Xitlali, has cancer and relies on her mother's care as she receives chemotherapy. Xitlali, a US citizen, was left vulnerable without her primary caretaker, adding undue stress during a time when she should be focused on her health. This heartbreaking situation exemplifies how immigration policies fail to prioritize human lives and instead harms families.
