THE OSCARS SET TO AIR LIVE MARCH 15, 2026, ON ABC<\/strong><\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES, CA<\/strong> \u2013 For a second consecutive year, Emmy\u00ae Award-winning television host, writer, producer and comedian\u00a0Conan O\u2019Brien<\/b>\u00a0will return to host the Oscars\u00ae broadcast, and Emmy Award-winning live television event producers\u00a0Raj Kapoor<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Katy Mullan<\/b>\u00a0return as the show\u2019s executive producers for the third consecutive year, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang announced today.\u00a0Jeff Ross<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Mike Sweeney<\/b>\u00a0will return as producers for a second time, and Sweeney will also serve as a writer. The 98th Oscars will air live on ABC on\u00a0Sunday, March 15, 2026<\/b>, at 7 p.m. ET\/4 p.m. PT.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to bring back Conan, Raj, Katy, Jeff and Mike for the 98th Oscars!\u201d said Kramer and Yang. \u201cThis year, they produced a hugely entertaining and visually stunning show that celebrated our nominees and the global film community in the most beautiful and impactful way. \u201cThe only reason I\u2019m hosting the Oscars next year is that I want to hear Adrien Brody finish his speech,\u201d said O\u2019Brien.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hosted by O\u2019Brien, the 97th Oscars, held earlier this month on March 2, delivered a five-year high in both total viewers (19.69 million) and adults 18-49 (4.54 rating) and ranked as the number one primetime entertainment telecast in both total viewers and adults for the 2024-2025 season. The 97th Oscars earned 104.2 million total social interactions, ranking as the number one most social TV program season-to-date, outperforming both \u201cThe Grammy Awards\u201d (102.2 million interactions) and \u201cThe Super Bowl\u201d (62.4 million) this season for the first time on record.<\/span><\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien is best known for hosting the late-night talk shows \u201cLate Night with Conan O\u2019Brien,\u201d \u201cThe Tonight Show with Conan O\u2019Brien\u201d and \u201cConan.\u201d Before his more than two-decade hosting career, he served as a writer for \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d and \u201cThe Simpsons.\u201d Currently, O\u2019Brien hosts the \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Needs a Friend\u201d podcast, MAX travel show \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Must Go\u201d and has a supporting role in the feature film \u201cIf I Had Legs I\u2019d Kick You.\u201d He has won five Primetime Emmys\u00ae and earned 31 nominations for his work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kapoor has earned eight Emmy Award nominations and won Emmys for his work on the 96th Oscars and for executive producing the Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) \u201cAdele: One Night Only.\u201d In addition to several Oscars shows, Kapoor\u2019s credits include \u201cThe Grammy Awards\u00ae,\u201d \u201cACM Awards,\u201d \u201cLatin Grammys,\u201d \u201cThe Emmy Awards,\u201d \u201cHannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas,\u201d \u201cBeauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration,\u201d \u201cNorman Lear: 100 Years of Music and Laughter\u201d and \u201cThe Paris Olympics LA28 Handover Closing Ceremony.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mullan is an executive producer, showrunner and partner of the global live event production company Done + Dusted. Her work in live entertainment ranges from producing the London Olympics opening and closing ceremonies to \u201cThe Little Mermaid Live!.\u201d She won an Emmy for the 96th Oscars, and her other credits include \u201cHannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas,\u201d \u201cBeauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration,\u201d \u201cStep Into\u2026The Movies,\u201d several Christmas and New Year\u2019s Eve television specials and the \u201cDisney Family Singalong\u201d franchise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ross is a producer whose credits include \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Needs a Friend,\u201d \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Must Go,\u201d \u201cConan Without Borders,\u201d \u201cConan,\u201d \u201cThe Tonight Show with Conan O\u2019Brien\u201d, \u201cLate Night with Conan O\u2019Brien\u201d and \u201cThe Kids in the Hall.\u201d \u00a0He has won a Primetime Emmy and earned 15 nominations for his work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sweeney is a producer, writer and director whose credits include \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Must Go,\u201d \u201cConan,\u201d \u201cThe Tonight Show with Conan O\u2019Brien\u201d and \u201cLate Night with Conan O\u2019Brien.\u201d He has won three Primetime Emmys and earned 22 nominations for his work.<\/span><\/p>\n
