EL MONTE, CA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 The\u00a0California Faculty Association (CFA)<\/strong>, which represents more than 23,000 professors, lecturers, librarians, counselors, and coaches who\u00a0work on the 23 campuses of the California State University system,\u00a0have endorsed Democrat Mike Eng for the open 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0State Senate District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Upon receiving the news of the endorsement, Eng said,\u00a0\u201cAs a proud Educator and member of CFA at Cal State Los Angeles, this\u00a0endorsement is special for me. For decades, the California Faculty Association has been a strong and clear voice for the faculty and educators of the California State University, for the CSU\u2019s students, and for California\u2019s future. They certainly are for me. It\u2019s an honor to earn the endorsement and trust of these thousands of individuals who represent the promise of opportunity to so many of our students. I look forward to fighting for them and our students in the State Senate.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mike\u2019s campaign for State Senate has gathered a\u00a0huge amount of momentum lately with major\u00a0endorsements from the California\u00a0Teachers Association and major organizations including the California Labor Federation and the California Democratic Party<\/strong>. All of the best-known District leaders \u2013 including incumbent Senator Ed Hernandez, Supervisors Hilda Solis and Kathryn Barger, Congressmembers Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano and Assemblymember Ed Chau \u2013 are supporting Mike.<\/p>\n

Mike Eng previously served in the State Assembly, on the L.A. Community College District Board of Trustees, and on the Monterey Park City Council.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
