Samueli Theater\u2019s Jazz Club will come alive with an impeccable lineup for Orange County\u2019s coolest cats to enjoy. Kicking off the series are Grammy-winning bassist\u00a0John Clayton<\/strong>\u00a0joined<\/p>\n

by the bold and boundary-pushing\u00a0ETHEL Quartet<\/strong>, followed by legendary saxophonist\u00a0Branford Marsalis<\/strong>.\u00a0 Rising star\u00a0Caity Gyorgy<\/strong>\u00a0will make her Center premiere bringing a fresh and soulful sound, followed by the high-energy jazz rock fusion of another jazz series premiere,\u00a0Lao Tizer Band.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The vibrant vocal stylings of\u00a0New York Voices<\/strong>\u00a0will illuminate the Center once more, while the acclaimed dynamic jazz offerings of\u00a0Gerald Clayton<\/strong>\u00a0Quintet\u00a0<\/strong>will make their debut, and the series will conclude with the return of legendary duo\u00a0Edgar Meyer and Christian McBride<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Chamber Music Series will showcase an extraordinary collection of world-renowned ensembles. The series begins with the return of Center favorites\u00a0Calidore String Quartet<\/strong>, praised for their impeccable precision, and the legendary\u00a0Tak\u00e1cs Quartet<\/strong>, known for their expressive performances. The\u00a0Phaeton Trio<\/strong>\u00a0will make their Center debut, with a beautiful blend of piano, violin, and cello, while the\u00a0Notos Quartett,\u00a0<\/strong>another Center debut, will bring a piano quartet repertoire, combining piano, viola, violin, and cello. Additional Center favorites\u00a0Goldmund Quartet\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0\u00c9b\u00e8ne Quartet<\/strong>\u00a0will return with zestful and\u00a0<\/strong>sophisticated repertoires, and closing the season in grand fashion, the\u00a0Australian Chamber Orchestra<\/strong>\u00a0will return to the Center with a 50th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary celebration performance.<\/p>\n

A Center favorite since she first appeared in our Cabaret Series in 2022, Jessica Vosk has dazzled with each appearance and left our audience clamoring for her return!\u00a0 Known for her powerhouse vocals and transformative stage presence, Jessica Vosk is redefining holiday magic with\u00a0SLEIGH<\/em>, bringing her signature wit, sincerity and sparkle to create a special spin on holiday classics and brand-new carols.<\/p>\n

Best known for her star turn as Elphaba in the musical\u00a0Wicked<\/em>\u2014first on tour and then joining the show\u2019s 15th anniversary on Broadway\u2014Vosk played the green witch for two years and was featured performing \u201cDefying Gravity\u201d in the PBS\u00a0Great Performances 50th Anniversary Concert<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Most recently seen on Broadway in Alicia Key\u2019s Tony Award-winning Best Musical,\u00a0Hell\u2019s Kitchen,\u00a0<\/em>Vosk\u2019s other Broadway credits include\u00a0Fiddler on the Roof<\/em>,\u00a0Finding Neverland<\/em>, and\u00a0The Bridges of Madison County<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She is, of course, a three-time Tony Award winner for her performances as Joanne in Marianne Elliott\u2019s award-winning production of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical\u00a0Company,\u00a0<\/em>Madame Rose in the 2008 Broadway revival of the Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim-Arthur Laurents classic\u00a0Gypsy<\/em>\u00a0and the title role in the original Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice\u2019s\u00a0Evita<\/em>.<\/p>\n
