The self-serve vending machines will provide underserved communities across LA County with easy access to lifesaving resources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">The\u00a0Community Health Stations\u00a0provide the following products:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li aria-setsize=\"-1\">COVID-19\u00a0Self-Test\u00a0Kit: One box\u00a0containing\u00a0two tests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li aria-setsize=\"-1\">Naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose:\u00a0One\u00a0carton containing\u00a0two\u00a0single-use devices in blister packages and instructions for use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li aria-setsize=\"-1\">Fentanyl Test Strip (FTS) Kit:\u00a0One\u00a0FTS kit containing\u00a0five\u00a0individually-packaged strips\u00a0and instructions for use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li aria-setsize=\"-1\">External Condoms (FDA standard):\u00a0One\u00a0package holding\u00a0five\u00a0external\u00a0condoms and five non-spermicidal lubricants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li aria-setsize=\"-1\">Internal Condoms (FDA standard):\u00a0One individually wrapped internal condom\u00a0and instructions for use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">\u201cCOVID-19 self-tests, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and condoms allow individuals to take actions that protect themselves and others in the community,\u201d said Dr. Barbara Ferrer,\u00a0PhD, MPH, MEd, Director, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. \u201cHaving free public health supplies available to residents seven days a week through the self-service Community Health Stations makes it easier to access important products that support health and save lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">Public Health launched 51 Community Health Stations across Los Angeles County earlier this year with plans to deploy a total of\u00a0100 stations over the next few months.\u00a0The vending machines can be found in locations that are easily accessible to the public,\u00a0including\u00a0pharmacies, health centers, community centers\u00a0and\u00a0homeless shelters.\u202fTo find the nearest\u00a0Community Health Station, residents can\u00a0use\u00a0the interactive map locator at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/http:%2F%2Fph.lacounty.gov%2FCommunityHealthStation%2F%3Futm_content=%26utm_medium=email%26utm_name=%26utm_source=govdelivery%26utm_term=\/1\/01000196a0c36c99-02467480-e112-4672-aa04-fd366dfeb440-000000\/kUF4FOvshugOfEZo2IGIAfn97GOWfqdgWHCYV301uH4=403\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/http:%252F%252Fph.lacounty.gov%252FCommunityHealthStation%252F%253Futm_content%3D%2526utm_medium%3Demail%2526utm_name%3D%2526utm_source%3Dgovdelivery%2526utm_term%3D\/1\/01000196a0c36c99-02467480-e112-4672-aa04-fd366dfeb440-000000\/kUF4FOvshugOfEZo2IGIAfn97GOWfqdgWHCYV301uH4%3D403&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1746540957792000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1DAaQjgK9ZLASwOgILU1Pm\">ph.lacounty.gov\/<wbr \/>CommunityHealthStation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">A short\u00a0voluntary\u00a0anonymous survey will be offered via an easy-to-use touchscreen to collect basic demographic information; customers\u00a0are not required to\u00a0complete the survey to access free products.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">The\u00a0Community Health Stations\u00a0were developed in partnership with Public Health\u2019s Substance Abuse Prevention and Control Bureau,\u00a0and the\u00a0Division of HIV and STD Programs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">For more information about this opportunity and to express interest in hosting a Community Health Station, please contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:dph-kiosks@ph.lacounty.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dph-kiosks@ph.lacounty.gov<\/a>.
