The submission deadline is Thursday, July 24, at 5 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n<p>The Scientific and Technical Awards honor individuals and companies whose discoveries and innovations have contributed in significant and lasting ways to motion pictures. Eligible submissions include devices, methods, formulas, discoveries and inventions of outstanding value to moviemaking.<\/p>\n<p>In August, the Academy will announce the list of scientific and technical investigations that will be conducted this year.
