Solis, and aims to provide timely budget updates.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>LOS ANGELES, Calif.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Today, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a motion co-authored by Los Angeles County Chair Pro Tem and First District Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, to provide weekly updates during regularly scheduled Board meetings on the County\u2019s fiscal state and the implications of budget constraints and curtailments.<\/p>\n<p>The new standing agenda item was brought to the attention of the board by Chair Pro Tem Solis, and will be delivered by Los Angeles County\u2019s Chief Executive Officer Fesia Davenport to provide timely information on the budget.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\u201cThis is a necessary step to ensure the Board and the public understand the County\u2019s financial standing, amid compounding fiscal pressures and ongoing federal budget cut impacts,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Chair Pro Tem Solis<\/strong>. \u201cThe newly established weekly update will allow us to make informed decisions in direct response to the needs of our community, and provide our residents with a fuller explanation of the fiscal challenges the County faces right now. I am proud to have facilitated the conversation that led to today\u2019s motion, and know this will allow for greater transparency, accountability, and public trust. \u201c<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Today\u2019s CEO presentation elevated increasing losses for Departments like Health Services, Public Social Services, Mental Health, and more.
