Rodman<\/b>\u00a0(Writers Branch), Vice President\/Secretary (chair, Governance Committee)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cLynette has been a vital part of the Academy Board of Governors for many years, most recently revitalizing our awards work as chair of the board\u2019s Awards Committee. I so look forward to working with her as our new Academy President, as well as with these incredibly dedicated and strategic board officers. This is an exceptional group of Academy members who will advance the Academy\u2019s mission, support our membership around the world, ensure our long-term financial stability, and celebrate the achievements of the global filmmaking community,\u201d said Academy CEO Bill Kramer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Howell Taylor is beginning her first term as president during her second term as a governor representing the Producers Branch. She previously served for three years as vice president and chair of the Awards Committee. Barber and Rodman were re-elected as officers. It will be the first officer stint for Fox, Kilmurry and Phillips. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An Academy member since 2014, Howell Taylor has produced more than 25 films in the last 20 years, including \u201cA Star is Born,\u201d which received eight Oscar\u00ae nominations and earned her a Best Picture nomination. Her film credits include \u201cThe Accountant 2,\u201d \u201cThe Accountant,\u201d \u201cCaptain Fantastic,\u201d \u201cBig Eyes,\u201d \u201cThe Place Beyond the Pines,\u201d \u201cBlue Valentine,\u201d \u201cHalf Nelson,\u201d and the upcoming feature \u201cRoofman.\u201d She also produced the 92nd Oscars\u00ae show with Stephanie Allain in 2020, for which she was nominated for an Emmy\u00ae.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Academy board members may serve up to two three-year terms (consecutive or non-consecutive), followed by a two-year hiatus, after which eligibility renews for up to two additional three-year terms for a lifetime maximum of 12 years. Officers serve one-year terms, with a maximum of four consecutive years in any one office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Board of Governors sets the Academy\u2019s strategic vision, preserves the organization\u2019s financial health and assures the fulfillment of its mission.
