A foodborne illness investigation led by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, in collaboration with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), public health officials across different states, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has resulted in a nationwide recall of eggs linked to a multi-state\u00a0Salmonella<\/em>\u00a0outbreak.<\/p>\n

The ongoing investigation at two Chubby Cattle restaurant locations\u2014in Little Tokyo and Rowland Heights\u2014identified a strong link between reported Salmonella<\/em>\u00a0illnesses and eggs distributed by\u00a0Country Eggs, LLC.<\/a><\/p>\n

To date, more than 95 confirmed cases of illness have been reported across 14 states, with people experiencing symptoms consistent with Salmonella<\/em>\u00a0infection, including fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.<\/p>\n

As a result of the investigation findings, the implicated eggs are now subject to a voluntary nationwide recall. Consumers are urged to check if they have eggs in their home that meet the recall details below.<\/p>\n
