(Los Angeles, August 31, 2025)<\/strong> \u2014 Over a sunshine-filled, energetic long weekend, Los Angeles welcomed a unique public-welfare music event. The inaugural Los Angeles International Drummers Festival 2025<\/strong>, co-hosted by the Global Percussion Educators Alliance<\/em> and the Sunshine Heart Foundation<\/em>, and co-organized by Nine Beats Drummer Academy USA<\/em>, RAYA Art & Education<\/em>, and the Franklin Foundation<\/em>, opened to thunderous applause and electrifying drumbeats.<\/span><\/p>\n

This festival was not only a feast of art but also a gathering of compassion. World-renowned percussion artists from Southern California, youth drummers, and children with special needs shared the same stage, using music to echo heartbeats and rhythm to build human connection.<\/span><\/p>\n

All funds raised from the event will be dedicated to establishing the \u201cSpecial Children & Youth Percussion Learning Fund\u201d<\/strong>, aimed at helping more children find confidence and joy through music and better integrate into community life.<\/span><\/p>\n

International & Educational Forces Empower Public Good<\/span><\/h3>\n

As one of the core organizers, the Global Percussion Educators Alliance<\/em> brought together percussion artists and educators from around the world. Under the leadership of its founder and president, Hongyu Li<\/strong>, the festival has become more than a performance stage\u2014it is a vital bridge linking international cultural exchange with public-welfare engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nine Beats Drummer Academy<\/em>, one of China\u2019s most influential percussion education brands, has long adhered to the belief that \u201cmusic education should serve society.\u201d Since entering the U.S., the Academy has actively engaged in community service and public-good projects while promoting professional drumming education. By co-hosting this international festival in Los Angeles, Nine Beats not only showcased the strength of Chinese music education abroad but also highlighted the responsibility of the Chinese diaspora in promoting cultural exchange and serving local communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another co-organizer, RAYA Art & Education<\/em> in Irvine, is known for its inc<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>lusive arts programs. RAYA accepts both typically developing children and those with special needs, designing tailored courses for each. For this festival, RAYA joined hands with the Sunshine Heart Foundation to create a free drumming class for children with special needs, led by licensed music therapists. Founder and host Ya Juan<\/strong> gave an emotional opening speech, expressing gratitude to the children, parents, audience, and all who support this special community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Highlights of the Performances<\/span><\/h3>\n

The opening ceremony featured 26 young special-needs drummers from RAYA Art & Education performing alongside outstanding students from Nine Beats, delivering a moving ensemble titled \u201cDrumming to Move the World.\u201d<\/em> The heartfelt performance was both a milestone in the children\u2019s artistic growth and a powerful demonstration of music transcending barriers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The momentum soared as three world-renowned drumming masters\u2014Bobby Rock<\/strong>, Kaz Rodriguez<\/strong>, and Ray Audette<\/strong>\u2014delivered world-class performances that electrified the audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later, 55 students from Nine Beats Drummer Academy USA gave a thrilling, synchronized drum performance filled with energy and precision, igniting the crowd\u2019s enthusiasm. Seed Music School students also contributed two creative and touching programs that won rapturous applause.<\/span><\/p>\n
