Over a 25-year career in broadcasting and performing arts production, she spearheaded numerous national cultural programs, including <em data-start=\"1343\" data-end=\"1372\">The Chinese Folk Song Chart<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1398\">Mid-Autumn Poetry Gala<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1430\">The Great Nation of Learning<\/em>, and <em data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1462\">Across the Strait Awards<\/em>, among many others. She also served as the chief editor of the book <em data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1561\">The Great Nation of Learning<\/em> and published more than ten academic papers in major industry journals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"2021\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Her productions have earned multiple national and international awards, such as the <strong data-start=\"1721\" data-end=\"1759\">National Taiwan Broadcasting Award<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"1820\">China Disabled Persons\u2019 Federation Journalism Award<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"1899\">Ministry of Propaganda\u2019s Excellence Award for Anti-SARS Reporting<\/strong>, among others. Qian has long been recognized as one of China\u2019s most accomplished cultural producers and media scholars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2023\" data-end=\"2356\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since 2023, Qian has served as <strong data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2119\">Artistic Director of the Sino US Performing Arts Organization<\/strong>, continuing to bridge artistic expression between East and West. She has also written a series of cultural features and artist interviews for <em data-start=\"2262\" data-end=\"2280\">Sino US Magazine<\/em>, including profiles of composer Nathan Wang and guzheng virtuoso Bei Bei.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2358\" data-end=\"2464\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As a producer with deep cross-cultural experience, Qian views music not just as art but as storytelling:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2465\" data-end=\"2645\">\n<p data-start=\"2467\" data-end=\"2645\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cA concert should not merely showcase sound \u2014 it should narrate history, evoke emotion, and invite reflection. Through a seamless fusion of music, visuals, and lighting, the concert created a poetic experience \u2014 both epic and intimate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3009\" data-end=\"3283\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Qian intentionally aligned the musical narrative with the Bowers Museum\u2019s concurrent exhibition, <em data-start=\"3106\" data-end=\"3203\">World of the Terracotta Warriors: New Archaeological Discoveries in Shaanxi in the 21st Century<\/em>, allowing ancient history and modern sound to resonate within the same space.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3285\" data-end=\"3605\">\n<p data-start=\"3287\" data-end=\"3605\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cTrue professionalism isn\u2019t about how much you can add \u2014 it\u2019s about how well you balance,\u201d Qian said. \u201cOur team rehearsed repeatedly with lighting, visuals, and sound engineers, striving for precision in every breath of rhythm. A good production should immerse the audience in art, not distract them with technique.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"3607\" data-end=\"3816\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When the encore <em data-start=\"3623\" data-end=\"3663\">When Will the Moon Be Clear and Bright<\/em> began, the audience softly joined in, many moved to tears. In that moment, music transcended language and geography \u2014 it became pure human connection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3818\" data-end=\"3931\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For Qian, the role of a producer goes beyond managing logistics; it is about <strong data-start=\"3895\" data-end=\"3928\">creating spaces for resonance<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3932\" data-end=\"4162\">\n<p data-start=\"3934\" data-end=\"4162\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cMusic is the most natural language of culture,\u201d she said. \u201cThrough every <em data-start=\"4008\" data-end=\"4025\">East Meets West<\/em> stage, I hope to bring Chinese music into a contemporary context \u2014 and show the world that Eastern culture is both open and evolving.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4164\" data-end=\"4402\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Looking ahead, Qian shared that the Sino US Performing Arts Organization plans to collaborate with more cultural institutions to develop new projects blending dance, film, and AI-based art \u2014 continuing to explore cross-genre innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4404\" data-end=\"4701\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On that autumn evening in Southern California, <em data-start=\"4451\" data-end=\"4488\">Nathan Wang\u2019s Chinese Music Journey<\/em> left audiences with melodies that lingered and emotions that transcended words. Behind the curtain, Alina Qian exemplified a rare combination of <strong data-start=\"4634\" data-end=\"4698\">artistic vision, cultural depth, and professional excellence<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4703\" data-end=\"5094\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">From her early years in China\u2019s national broadcasting system to today\u2019s American cultural stage, Qian\u2019s career bridges both medium and meaning.
