LAPost \/ Anaheim, CA (October 14, 2025)<\/strong> \u2014 Tim Shaw officially launched his campaign for Orange County Supervisor during a press conference held Tuesday, October 14, at the Pacific West Association of Realtors (PWR) office in Anaheim. The event drew close to a hundred supporters, including prominent local officials, community leaders, and business representatives from across Orange County.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the attendees were Orange County Republican Party Chair Will O\u2019Neill<\/strong>, former California Republican Party Chair Sen. Jim Brulte<\/strong>, former California State Senate Republican Leaders Sen. Dick Ackerman<\/strong> and Sen. Bob Huff<\/strong>, California State Assemblymember Tri Ta<\/strong>, Orange County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stefan Bean<\/strong>, and Orange County Board of Education members Dr. Lisa Sparks<\/strong>, Dr. Ken Williams<\/strong>, and Jorge Valdes<\/strong>. During his speech, Tim Shaw<\/strong> expressed gratitude for the strong turnout and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Orange County remains a safe, prosperous, and family-friendly community<\/strong>. He highlighted his extensive record of public service at both city and county levels, emphasizing practical solutions to issues that directly affect residents\u2019 quality of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shaw currently represents Orange County\u2019s Fourth District<\/strong>, which includes the cities of Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, Stanton<\/strong>, portions of Anaheim<\/strong>, and nearby unincorporated areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

He shared that he and his wife Shannon<\/strong> chose to raise their six sons in Orange County public schools, reflecting their confidence in local education. Shaw pledged to confront the county\u2019s most pressing challenges\u2014particularly public safety and housing affordability\u2014so residents do not face the same decline in safety and quality of life seen in other parts of California.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drawing on his experience as a former La Habra City Councilmember and Mayor<\/strong>, Shaw cited his work on community safety and livability issues. He also discussed his leadership roles as Chair of the Orange County Transportation Authority<\/strong>, where he helped reduce traffic congestion and improve mobility, and as a board member of the Orange County Sanitation District<\/strong>, advancing clean water initiatives and public health protection. In addition, Shaw has served as Chairman of the Orange County Board of Education<\/strong> and currently serves as Vice Chair<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
