{"id":76670,"date":"2025-10-29T15:24:38","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T22:24:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=76670"},"modified":"2025-10-29T15:24:38","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T22:24:38","slug":"mandatory-electronic-filing-effective-nov-10-2025-for-represented-parties-in-lanterman-petris-short-conservatorship-and-assisted-outpatient-treatment-mental-health-case-types","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=76670","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory Electronic Filing Effective Nov. 10, 2025, for Represented Parties in Lanterman Petris Short Conservatorship and Assisted Outpatient Treatment Mental Health Case Types"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span lang=\"EN\">Effective Nov. 10, 2025<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">, the Court will implement mandatory electronic filing (e-filing) for represented parties and agencies in all Lanterman Petris Short (LPS) Conservatorship and Assistant Outpatient Treatment (AOT) cases, including Murphy Conservatorships.<\/span>\u00a0<span lang=\"EN\">E-filing enhances efficiency and the Court\u2019s ability to maintain complete, and easily accessible records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While no filing fee may be charged to file documents involving cases arising from the Lanterman Petris Short Act, Electronic Filing Service Provider (EFSP) fees for e-filing will apply.<\/p>\n<p>Self-represented litigants are exempt from mandatory e-filing; however, self-represented litigants may e-file documents through an EFSP or may file documents in person at the clerk\u2019s office or by U.S. mail.
