The program provides turkeys to pre-selected community-based organizations in the First District for distribution to families who need them most. By partnering with trusted local organizations, the initiative ensures that resources reach families efficiently and effectively.

This year’s partners included the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Northgate Markets, Suburban Water Systems, San Gabriel Valley Water Company, Hyundai, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, and the City of South El Monte. Each partner played a critical role in sponsoring turkeys and organizing the events. The collaborative effort highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing hunger and supporting community well-being. Today’s events, along with other turkey distributions Chair Pro Tem Solis sponsored, marks the distribution of 5,000 turkeys across the First District.

[6

post-77504","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-ca-local
["GET
