Solis issued the following statement today on presenting Corporal Jesus Rojas of the El Monte Police Department with a commendation scroll for receiving the 2025 Centurion Award for Excellence in Community Policing from the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County (POALAC):<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><em>\u201cFor 20 years, Corporal Jesus Rojas has exemplified the highest standards of community policing, demonstrating unwavering dedication, compassion, and leadership. Through his work with schools, families, and local organizations, Cpl. Rojas has strengthened trust between law enforcement and the community, fostering programs and events that bring residents and officers together, including the Citizens Academy, National Night Out, and holiday toy and turkey giveaways. As a resident of El Monte, I am proud to honor Cpl. Rojas for his commitment to building relationships, supporting youth, and serving with integrity.
