Horvath issued the following statements:<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;Survivors<\/span>\u00a0of human trafficking have to know not only that Los Angeles County stands with them, but that our approach is putting them front and center. I&#8217;m proud that LA County\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">continues to be a\u00a0national leader in\u00a0how we address\u00a0human trafficking and exploitation\u00a0by shifting away from law enforcement responses and punishment\u00a0for those being trafficked, and instead\u00a0toward recognizing the deep trauma survivors face and molding our approach to meet their needs,&#8221; said Supervisor Janice Hahn.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>\u201cIn Los Angeles County, we are committed to a public health approach to addressing human trafficking by strengthening prevention efforts, supporting survivors, and addressing the conditions that increase vulnerability,\u201d said Supervisor Lindsey P.
