(March 6, 2026)<\/strong>\u2014 Los Angeles County Board Chair and First District Supervisor Hilda L.\u00a0Solis hosted<\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0reception<\/span>\u00a0today to celebrate the\u00a0Lunar New Year<\/span>, marking the start of the\u00a0Year<\/span>\u00a0of the Horse and honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community leaders, organizations, and employee associations. The event brought together over 200 elected officials, distinguished guests, and residents to recognize the holiday\u2019s cultural significance and its role in strengthening communities across the County.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Lunar New Year<\/span>\u00a0is traditionally a time of renewal and prosperity. The\u00a0Year<\/span>\u00a0of the Horse symbolizes transformative energy, forward momentum and decisive action.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis\u00a0Year<\/span>\u00a0of the Horse, we celebrate the dedication, resilience and momentum that guide our communities toward a more prosperous future,\u201d said\u00a0Chair\u00a0Solis<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cLunar New Year<\/span>\u00a0is a time to honor our rich cultural traditions, as well as the individuals and organizations who lead with purpose and vision.\u201d<\/p>\n
