But I do not recommend looking to the CDC for information around vaccines.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1465\" data-end=\"1468\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1km1u5z\" data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1524\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Policy Upheaval and Advisory Committee Controversy<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1526\" data-end=\"1716\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Much of the current uncertainty stems from changes to the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices<\/span><\/span> (ACIP), whose recommendations traditionally guide CDC policy and influence insurance coverage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"2005\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Last year, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/span><\/span> dismissed all 17 ACIP members and appointed a new panel. Racine<\/span><\/span> stated that federal decisions have \u201cabandoned rigorous, transparent science,\u201d creating confusion, limiting access to life-saving vaccines, and weakening community protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3358\" data-end=\"3544\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The lawsuit seeks to restore the immunization schedule to its April 15, 2025 version, prior to the ACIP overhaul. While historically supportive of routine immunization, some parents are now taking a \u201cwait-and-see\u201d approach amid conflicting information and policy changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6255\" data-end=\"6345\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIt&#8217;s not that we oppose vaccines,\u201d one parent noted. \u201cWe just want to wait a bit longer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6347\" data-end=\"6530\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Besser concluded with a clear message: amid policy shifts and public debate, the most reliable guidance still comes from trusted healthcare providers\u2014doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"6532\" data-end=\"6535\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1ws4jzg\" data-start=\"6537\" data-end=\"6567\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Outlook: Uncertainty Ahead<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"6569\" data-end=\"6839\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As future ACIP meetings and seasonal vaccine recommendations remain in flux, the direction of U.S. vaccine policy continues to draw national attention.
