{"id":82723,"date":"2026-07-20T21:48:53","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T04:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=82723"},"modified":"2026-07-20T21:48:53","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T04:48:53","slug":"the-apec-photo-contest-2026-returns-your-lens-your-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lapost.us\/?p=82723","title":{"rendered":"The APEC Photo Contest 2026 Returns, Your Lens, Your Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Issued by the APEC Secretariat<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div><strong><em>Singapore, 21 July 2026<\/em><\/strong>The APEC Photo Contest is back, inviting photographers from across the Asia-Pacific to capture people, places and moments that reflect this year\u2019s theme, &#8220;Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 contest welcomes photographs inspired by the theme or one of APEC China\u2019s three priorities of the year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Openness, which captures the connections that link people, communities and economies across borders;<\/li>\n<li>Innovation, which reveals the ideas and creative solutions shaping the future;<\/li>\n<li>Cooperation, which celebrates working together and collective action throughout the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participants may submit up to three photographs taken with a professional camera, digital camera or mobile phone. Only minor digital editing is allowed. The contest is open to citizens or residents of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/us.list-manage.com\/DEhnRiXjQxZ?e=f0773073fa&amp;c2id=bc053c42553905f12de54bba718214c4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/us.list-manage.com\/DEhnRiXjQxZ?e%3Df0773073fa%26c2id%3Dbc053c42553905f12de54bba718214c4&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1784691599032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw27soGZ2mRz6RoF7bPuhfjp\">APEC\u2019s 21 member economies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions may capture how these priorities improve lives, strengthen businesses and lift communities across the Asia-Pacific through the perspective of those experiencing them every day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every photograph tells a story about how people and communities are creating opportunity across the Asia-Pacific,&#8221; said Eduardo Pedrosa, Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Together, these photographs stories offer a powerful perspective on what prosperity means across our region and help tell the human stories behind APEC\u2019s work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photos may be submitted through an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/us.list-manage.com\/QfafezJJ3l4?e=f0773073fa&amp;c2id=bc053c42553905f12de54bba718214c4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/us.list-manage.com\/QfafezJJ3l4?e%3Df0773073fa%26c2id%3Dbc053c42553905f12de54bba718214c4&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1784691599032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2d8jbdVLHNvNSt7u-sZgP5\">online form<\/a>\u00a0before the deadline of 24 August 2026 at 23:59 Singapore time.<\/p>\n<p>An international panel of judges will evaluate entries based on their interpretation of APEC&#8217;s 2026 theme and priorities, composition and quality, as well as creativity and message.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the judges&#8217; prize will receive SGD2,500, while the second and third place winners will receive SGD2,000 and SGD1,500, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The top 10 finalists will be revealed in early October, after which the public can vote for their favorite photograph via the official platform on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/apec.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/apec.org&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1784691599032000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2d2xvWCNoFbnZHS3D6L5Ej\">apec.org<\/a>.
