The 3rd Annual 40 Emerging Civic Leaders under 40 Awards ceremony held\u00a0in the Athletic Club of downtown Los Angeles July 26th.<\/p>\n

2018 40 Emerging Civic Leaders under 40 Honorees recognized by Ret.\u00a0Assemblymember Sebastian Ridley-Thomas at the ceremony of the Emerging Civic Leaders Committee of the Empowerment Congress.<\/p>\n

Hosted in collaboration with the Empowerment Congress and the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, the award reception highlighted Los Angeles\u2019 up and coming leaders who are paving the way in advocacy, governance,\u00a0philanthropy, and\u00a0private industry.<\/p>\n

Since its 2016 inception, the Emerging Civic Leaders Committee has selected a cohort of 40 Second District leaders under the age of 40 that represent the highest levels of service in the fields of labor, business, public service, \u00a0NGO\/philanthropy or media.<\/p>\n
