MELISSA FOX EARNS COVETED BACKING OF OC LABOR FEDERATION

Labor Movement Continues to Unite Around Irvine Councilmember Melissa Fox’s AD-68 Bid

 
IRVINE, CA – In yet another reflection of her widespread support amongst working men and women in her campaign for State Assembly District 68, this week Irvine Councilmember Melissa Fox earned the recommendation of the Orange County Labor Federation. The OC Labor Federation represents over 90 local unions and hundreds of thousands of working families in Orange County.

In a statement released in conjunction with the announced recommendation, OC Labor Federation Executive Director Gloria Alvarado commented:

“The Orange County Labor Federation proudly endorses Melissa Fox for State Assembly. Melissa has been a leader when it comes to fighting for all working families. During her time on the Irvine City Council, Melissa Fox has stood with workers to fight for dignity and respect. We are confident that Melissa will be a tireless fighter for a fairer and more prosperous economy in Sacramento.”

Recently, Fox’s campaign announced that she had outraised her opponent, Steven Choi, more than 2:1, with Fox’s campaign bringing in a significant $174,515, while Choi only raised $77,785.
