California Ironworkers District Council Commends Newman for Record of Staunch Support of Working People

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Continuing to build momentum in his rematch race for Senate District 29, today U.S. Army veteran, businessman, and former State Senator Josh Newman garnered a powerful endorsement from the District Council of Iron Workers of the State of California and vicinity.

In a statement released in conjunction with the announced endorsement, California Ironworkers District Council Vice President Donald A. Zampa commented:

“Josh Newman has been a champion for working families across the State of California. His bold leadership has helped hardworking men and women stand up to injustices in the workplace and fight for fairer wages, better benefits, and an improved quality of life. California’s Ironworkers are proud to support Josh Newman because he has stood in solidarity with us and all working families to raise the standard of living and make the California Dream a reality.”

Recently, Newman’s campaign released a new digital video ad titled “Better Senator,” which highlights his independent, common-sense agenda and features the campaign’s branded ice cream truck, where voters can talk about important issues with the former Senator and his team, while enjoying a complimentary “Better Senator” ice cream sandwich.
