CONTRERAS EARNS ENDORSEMENT OF CA NURSES IN OC SUPERVISOR RACE

Westminster Councilmember Sergio Contreras Backed By California Nurses Association in District 1 Contest

WESTMINSTER, CA — In a testament to his commitment to improving access to affordable healthcare for working families, today Westminster City Councilmember Sergio Contreras secured the endorsement of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee (CNA/NNOC) in the race for a seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

The recent announcement by CNA/NNOC represents another major endorsement milestone for Contreras, a two-term councilmember running to become the next supervisor representing Orange County’s 1st District, which includes Garden Grove, Westminster, Santa Ana, Midway City and portions of Fountain Valley. The CNA/NNOC announcement signals another powerful endorsement in a broad coalition of labor organizations, elected officials, local business leaders and Orange County residents backing Contreras in the race.  The CNA/NNOC represents nearly 100,000 registered nurses across California and hundreds of thousands more across the U.S.
