MAYOR FOLEY GATHERS MORE SUPPORT FROM WORKING FAMILIES FOR HER CAMPAIGN FOR STATE SENATE

COSTA MESA, CA –  Further solidifying herself as the candidate of working families, today Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley was endorsed by the International Longshore & Warehouse Union Southern California District Council. ILWU SCDC represents over 42,000 members.
In announcing their endorsement, the International Longshore & Warehouse Union Southern California District Council released the following statement:
“The California International Longshore and Warehouse Union Southern California District Council is proud to endorse Katrina Foley for State Senate District 37 because she has a long track record of fighting for working families. Under her watch, city services have been restored, the residents are safer and quality of life has improved. In the State Senate, we know Katrina will fight for better paying, higher-quality jobs, along with education and training to give workers the skills they need to achieve their highest earning potential. We need a champion like Katrina Foley representing our communities in Sacramento.”
The momentum behind Foley’s campaign has continued to swell, particularly in recent weeks with Foley securing a vast array of endorsements from some of California’s key organizations and leaders. They include the California Labor Federation, the California Highway Patrol, the California Professional Firefighters, EMILY’s List, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Fund Her, Congressman Harley Rouda, Senators Connie Leyva, Lena Gonzales and Cathleen Galgiani, Assemblymember Cottie Petrie-Norris and others.
