Frank Scotto Endorsed by Former Torrance Councilwoman Maureen O’Donnell

TORRANCE – Running to represent California’s 66th Assembly District, small business owner and former Torrance Mayor, Frank Scotto, has been endorsed by retired Torrance City Councilwoman Maureen O’Donnell.

When asked about her endorsement, O’Donnell stated, “Frank has been a close friend and colleague over the years, and I am pleased that he is running for State Assembly. He has a long history of leadership within the community, and I believe he will be a great representative for the people of our district.”

Scotto has been a resident of Torrance for 60 years and has deep roots in the area. He owned and operated a local tow truck company, Frank Scotto Towing, along with multiple gas stations. As a small business owner, Frank navigated though California’s complex business environment, employing many local residents and growing his business along the way.

Frank’s dedication to his community has been exemplified in a number of public service roles. In 1997, he was appointed to the Torrance Civil Service Commission and was elected to the City Council in 2000, where he served as Mayor Pro-tem. He was elected as the Mayor of Torrance in 2006 and reelected in 2010. Throughout his years in public service, Frank focused primarily on increasing opportunities for youth and improving local environmental protections.

Frank Scotto is the former Mayor of Torrance. He is running for State Assembly in the 66th Assembly District, which encompasses much of the South Bay of Los Angeles.
