EL MONTE, CA — The California Faculty Association (CFA), which represents more than 23,000 professors, lecturers, librarians, counselors, and coaches who work on the 23 campuses of the California State University system, have endorsed Democrat Mike Eng for the open 22nd State Senate District.

Upon receiving the news of the endorsement, Eng said, “As a proud Educator and member of CFA at Cal State Los Angeles, this endorsement is special for me. For decades, the California Faculty Association has been a strong and clear voice for the faculty and educators of the California State University, for the CSU’s students, and for California’s future. They certainly are for me. It’s an honor to earn the endorsement and trust of these thousands of individuals who represent the promise of opportunity to so many of our students. I look forward to fighting for them and our students in the State Senate.”

Mike’s campaign for State Senate has gathered a huge amount of momentum lately with major endorsements from the California Teachers Association and major organizations including the California Labor Federation and the California Democratic Party. All of the best-known District leaders – including incumbent Senator Ed Hernandez, Supervisors Hilda Solis and Kathryn Barger, Congressmembers Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano and Assemblymember Ed Chau – are supporting Mike.
