East Los Angeles (CA)- ELAC Ranks #1 in Los Angeles, #6 in CA and #58 nationally as best 2-Year college for adult learners. ELAC is the only Los Angeles community college that made the rankings.
A total of 11 California Community Colleges are ranked within the top 100 colleges in the nation for adult learners.
Since 2005, the Washington Monthly has released an annual College Guide and rankings, where schools are rated based on what they are doing for the country. Schools are evaluated based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: Social Mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), Research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and PhDs), and Service (encouraging students to give something back to their country).
