Kavanaugh: `I have never sexually assaulted anyone’
Supreme Court Associate Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh speaks out in an interview on Monday’s broadcast of FOX News’ The Story with host Martha MacCallum. Kavanaugh denied Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation that he sexually assaulted her at a party in high school.
“I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process and we’re looking for a fair process where I can be heard and defend my integrity my lifelong record,” he said. “My lifelong record of promoting dignity and equality for women starting with the women who knew me when I was 14 years old. I’m not going anywhere.”
Kavanaugh said that perhaps this is a case of mistaken identity. He said he is not questioning whether Dr. Ford, his accuser, had been sexually assaulted, it just wasn’t him.
“I am not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone in some place. But what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone in high school or at any time in my life,” Kavanaugh said Monday.
“What I know is the truth,” he said. “And the truth is, I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone in high school or otherwise. I am not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone in some place. But what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone in high school or at any time in my life.”
