Allen Sanford will not produce future Hermosa Beach summer concerts

After nearly a decade of producing the Hermosa Beach Summer Concerts, Saint Rocke owner Allen Sanford will not participate in the city’s Request for Proposal process seeking producers starting in the summer of 2019.

Sanford, producer of the series since 2010, said in a statement to The Beach Reporter Wednesday, that instead, he’ll focus on creating the BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach in May 2019.

After contract negotiations broke down earlier in the year, the city appointed a subcommittee of Mayor Pro Tem Stacey Armato and Councilmember Mary Campbell in March to review the agreement with Sanford and come back with additional options.
