Man Arrested in Fatal Stabbing on Metro Gold Line Train
A man was in custody Wednesday on suspicion of fatally stabbing another man on a Metro Gold Line train in the Duarte area.
Peter Munoz, 51, of Commerce was arrested Tuesday night and booked on suspicion of murder, according to the sheriff’s department. He was being held without bail.
Xuezhong Bao, 62, was pronounced dead at the Duarte Station in the 1600 block of East Duarte Road after the train stopped there about 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to the coroner’s office and the sheriff’s department. His home town was not known.
Munoz was arrested after investigators interviewed witnesses and reviewed surveillance video, the sheriff’s department reported. A motive for the crime was unknown.
