The series provides a background to some of the classic Chinese quotes used by President Xi in his speeches, and provides an insight into Chinese thought. The series are under six topics: namely for the welfare of the people; the family tradition; the cultivation of individual personalities; the construction of honest administration; filial piety; and incorrupt government, which show President Xi’s deep understanding of traditional Chinese culture as well as his thoughts on state governance.

The videos will be broadcast by mainstream media outlets in Spanish-speaking countries, including Argentina and Spain. They will also be available on the Spanish language websites of several leading think tanks.

The six-episode series has already been translated into several languages, including English, Japanese, and Korean.

The classic quotes used by President Xi originate from China’s 5000-year history and reflect the Chinese people’s observations on humanity and nature, family and state, morality and law.

CMG President Shen Haixiong said that the introduction of the Spanish version on new media is aimed at opening a window for the Spanish audience to understand the personality of President Xi and further to know how President Xi will lead China, the world’s largest developing country, into the new era.

Group America Founder José Luis Manzano says that just like the Chinese, Argentinians attach great importance to families. One of the themes of the video series is about the family, which he says makes him feel that the hearts and cultures of the people from both countries are similar.
