New England Patriots owner charged with solicitation in Florida prostitution case
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has been charged with soliciting prostitution at a Florida spa just hours before the Patriots played in the AFC Championship Game, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg said Kraft faces one year in prison if convicted on the first-degree misdemeanor charge of soliciting another to commit prostitution. He could also be sentenced to 100 hours of community service and required to attend a prostitution and human trafficking awareness course.
The 77-year-old Kraft was among a group of 25 people Florida police announced Friday would be charged in a prostitution sting.
Aronberg said Monday that nobody will receive special treatment in the case.
