Jinan calls for further biomedical cooperation with Japan

Jinan, capital city of East China’s Shandong province, was expected to seek more cooperative opportunities with Japan in the field of biological medicine and health care industries at a promotion conference held in Tokyo on Feb 25.
The Jinan (Tokyo) health industry cooperation conference was sponsored by the Jinan investment promotion bureau, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and global accounting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Zhang Zijun, the deputy mayor of Jinan, introduced the city to the guests in terms of history and culture, ecological environment, transportation, resources and development opportunities. He hoped they will seize the opportunities and explore more cooperation in health care development.
The two sides have established in-depth communication for future cooperation in the field of biological medicine and health care industries.
A total of 24 related companies including an institute of cell therapy technology in Japan and Shanghe county signed an investment cooperation agreement with Japan Asia News Agency.
