April Mixer + Co-Hosted Film Screening

This week we are back to tell you about our April Mixer! 

Join fellow young professionals working in media and entertainment for drinks and lively chats about your projects. Anyone with an interest in China is welcome to join us!

When: Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7 PM – 11 PM

Where: This month we will meet at the The Mixx Pasadena
443 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101

Parking: 

  • Church lot across the street
  • Valet $10
  • Free meter parking after 6pm

Entertainment: Live jazz band.The event is free and open to the public, no Chinese language skills required. You are welcome to invite friends, acquaintances, and strangers. If you need help finding the group, feel free to contact Mark Liu at [email protected]. If you can’t attend after sending your RSVP, please cancel your reservation ASAP to help us to staff accordingly.

Synopsis: 2019 legendary documentary film chronicling the life and career of Tsai Chin 采芹, one of the first Chinese actresses to break to the West. From celebrity to anonymity and back, Tsai Chin, daughter of Peking opera master Zhou Xinfang 周信芳 and sister of well-known Michael Chow, brings significant representations of Asians to mainstream media.

When: Showing Wednesday, April 10th 1:00-4:00 screening + Discussion.
