Fashion Queen Sue Wong is planning to expand her empire to China
“I am going to bring my brand to China this September,” fashion queen Sue Wong told about 400 friends at her birthday party on April 20th at her Hollywood legendary house Cedars.
She invited Chinese performers that presented drum dance and solo dance to her friends which most of them are celebrities, in addition some Chinese models appears among her models group.
“Sue Wong joined our delegation to China last year” said Robert Sun, the president of American Chinese CEO Society. “She is surprised about the recent development in China.”
“I was born in same year of the People’s of Republic China founding in China, and it’s been an incredible journey all the way from China to the Cedars. I am very grateful for everything that I have had in my life. ” Sue said.
During the party, Sue told her friends that she is proud of her son who has four degrees and loves teaching, but she is a little concerning her son is not passionate to take care of her fashion empire.
Kelly Hu, Christine Antonovich, Robert Sun, Richard Ren, Eileen Chen, and Paul P. Cheng from the Chinese American community were invited to the party as well.
Sue Wong is a Chinese-born American fashion designer best known for her dress designs with a contemporary twist based on old Hollywood glamor style. Her collections, available in some 27 countries, have been noted for her interpretations of the traditions of couture dressmaking of romantic eras such as Weimar Berlin, 1930s Shanghai, pre-code Hollywood, and Manhattan’s gilded Jazz Age. She owns Sue Wong Universe, based in Los Angeles, California.
