President Nixon passed away on April 22, 1994. The 25th anniversary of his state funeral was recognized Monday at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on Monday. Look back at his state funeral with this original video production of the Richard Nixon Foundation.

Governor Pete Wilson was one of five eulogists at President Nixon’s funeral, and was a special guest at Monday’s event.

Pete Wilson, the distinguished former California Senator and Governor, who was one of four eulogists at President Nixon’s state funeral in April 1994, visited the Nixon Library on Monday to lay a wreath at the Memorials of President and Mrs. Nixon, commemorating 25 years since President Nixon’s passing.

The Governor spoke candidly about his decades long friendship with President Nixon, as did Col. Jack Brennan, Marine Military Aide to President Nixon, who shared memories from the funeral, especially of the 50,000 people who waited in lines three miles long to pay respects.
