HAIMING WEI Foundation For American Wounded Veterans held Charity dinner party at Los Angeles
“HAIMING WEI Foundation For American Wounded Veterans” is the first non-profit organization in Southern California to be established by the Chinese to care for disabled veterans. A grand charity dinner was held in Los Angeles on the evening of July 27th to donate to the American Veterans. South Pasadena City Councilman Michael A. Cacciotti attended and delivered a speech.
South Pasadena City Councilman Michael A. Cacciotti expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Chinese community for their concern and participation in the veterans’ affairs.
HaiMing Wei, the initiator of the Hemingway Cares and Retirement of the United States Military Foundation, the young entrepreneur, said in his speech: “The American combat wounded veterans have made tremendous contributions to the United States. They are soldiers fighting for American security, for freedom and Justice has made tremendous sacrifices for peace and happiness. As Chinese members of the American society, we, of course, must do something for the American society to give back and contribute.
HaiMing Wei said, “I have been admired by the military since I was a child. Now I have settled in the United States. I have a special sense of responsibility and honor for helping the US military to be injured. I also hope that by holding this event, more friends can join in the care. And to help the wounded veterans in their careers. And then show our Chinese Americans’ sense of belonging to the United States and their contribution to American society.”
HaiMing Wei said, “After this evening’s event, we will continue to hold various types of care activities, including psychological counseling, cultural exchange sharing, rehabilitation assistance, etc. It will provide some useful help for veterans with physical and mental disabilities.”
Aaron Chan, a Chinese veteran who was injured in service, and Casio Chin, a Korean veteran, said that they would let more veterans know the goodwill of the Chinese after introducing their military careers.
Event organizers include: Global Merchants Alliance, America Special Speed, LendingCar, Rocky Motors, Hollywood Dragon Disciples Movie Productions.
Luyi Gu, the organizer of the Global Merchants League, Gao Feifei of the Hollywood Dragon’s creator (actress, producer), and Robert Sun, Teddy Lu, Juliee Shen from the Chinese community in Southern California. Currently active in Hollywood, director Andy Cheng and many well-known Chinese entrepreneurs, celebrities and community leaders attended the event.
The well-known show host BoEr of the Chinese-American community and the Hollywood young actor Sky Patterson hosted the charity event of the day. The event organizers also prepared a wealth of entertainment for the guests, including models of fashion, jewelry, cosmetics, and English song performances.
