CA NURSES GIVE CRUCIAL ENDORSEMENT TO MELISSA FOX’S ASSEMBLY CAMPAIGN
Melissa Fox Garners Critical Support from the California Nurses Association (CNA) in AD-68 Bid
IRVINE, CA – Reflecting her dedication to affordable healthcare for all and widespread support from working families in her Assembly District 68 campaign, today Irvine Councilwoman Melissa Fox earned a powerful endorsement from the California Nurses Association (CNA).
In a statement released following the announced endorsement, Malinda Markowitz, RN, co-president of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United remarked:
“Melissa Fox is a tried and true champion for working families, and the California Nurses Association is pleased to endorse her for State Assembly. Melissa believes that healthcare should be a right – not just a privilege for those who can afford it, and we’re confident that she will work tirelessly to advance Medicare for all Californians, lower the cost of prescription drugs and will ensure that everyone receives the care that they need.”
Last week, Fox’s campaign announced that it had topped $250,000 raised for the upcoming March primary election.
Recently, Fox secured critical support from eligible delegates at the California Democratic Party’s Pre-Endorsement Conference, earning 73% of the vote from the 68th Assembly District Caucus and ensuring that her name will be considered for automatic endorsement at the upcoming CDP Convention.
